Who Would Win: Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao
So after watching Manny Pacquiao have his way with Ricky Hatton on Saturday night, similarly to how Floyd Mayweather did when he faced off against Hatton, it made me wonder about a Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight. I always think about that though. Both men handled Hatton pretty easily, the only difference was, it took Mayweather 10 rounds to do what it took Pacquiao to do in 1 and 1/2 rounds.
That’s not to say that Pacquiao would automatically win in a fight between these two boxing titans though. Right now, Manny is considered to be the best pound for pound fighter in boxing but before he had that title, it was Mayweather. Floyd hasn’t been retired that long and would still be considered in his prime. I don’t think anyone really thinks that Mayweather is actually going to stay retired.
This fight would be a toss up but a great fight to watch either way.

i feel u…. Mayweather is fast too but he would probably have to overpower Pacman…
No doubt, I can’t wait for this fight to go down though, both fighters are going to have a hand full to deal with regardless.
Manny will have to change game plan if he is to beat Mayweather. I think the more polished fighter will win a close fight. Mayweather to win on points. You just dont know what style Mayweather will bring where Mannys going to come out blazing. Look out for some amazing shots if this fight goes ahead.
Pacquiao can box with Floyd with his faster speed from the outside and counter punch too. I go with Manny.
Pacman is way hungrier than Floyd. Manny does it for the passion and integrity of what the sport was founded on…Floyd does it for MTV and maybe a chance for any random Hip Hop shout out. With no doubt in my mind, Manny will wipe him up early. I can't wait for this to go down!! Floyd has no idea what he has coming to him. Hey "Money", Manny is going to put you back into retirement..
prettyboy Floyd is gunna take any fight he has oh so what pacman knocked out hatton in the 2nd round mayweather did the same thing pacman did to hatton so people just need to wait and see.
(@Keith) Do you honestly belive that Hatton was in the shape and trained state he was when he went 12 rounds with Mayweather then when he got his ass handed to him by Manny ? He was in way better shape in the Pacquiao fight and got smoked in the 2nd, not mention knocked down before he slept! But that fight has nothing to do with the calber of fighters each Pacman and Mayweather have stood toe to toe with. Mayweather hasn't fought a boxer and powerhouse like Manny..you have understand this as reality.
I've got to go with the pacman on this! He seems to be improving with every fight and seems hungrier than ever! Floyd is a great fighter, no doubt about that, but in the past he has always been able to beat his opponents to the punch or take advantage of the counter punch when they rush in due to his speed. Nevertheless I don't think anyone can argue tha manny is the quickest boxer in the world right now including floyd. manny also has a knock out punch in either hand and that power we have definitely not seen by mayweather!

Pacman will might win the 1st 2 rds only because he’ll be busier trying to reach Money. Its gonna be ugly after the 2nd rd. Money won’t allow Pac to set up for one of his flurries. Pac is gonna get aggressive (as planned) and he will eat Moneys jabs. Pac might win the last 2 rds. Too little too late. 8 rds to 4 mayweather.
U folks have to remember Money’s weird defense is 2nd to none, he’s bigger, faster and has a 6 to 7 inch reach advantage. Money doesn’t have to engage Pacman up close to win the fight he can pick pacman apart from outside. On the other hand Pacman has to reach just to make it interesting and when he does, Pacman is gonna eat double jabs all night long. Pacman is not a boxer he is a brawler and a short one at that. Pacmans weird angles is gonna be offset by Money’s left hook forcing manny to become one dimentional. Its gonna be ugly and boring. We’re all gonna be looking for that one punch from Pacman that never comes. If u guys don’t know about Money’s defense look it up on Utube and type “mayweather’s defense”. You’ll see why our national hero should not fight The great Mayweather…
