Victim Calls Cops When Pot Deal Flops

Just when you think you can trust your pot dealer, stories like this make you realize nothing is sacred. A marijuana dealer is facing robbery charges for allegedly holding up his would-be client, who called 911 to report the theft of $550 during a deal for 2 ounces of weed.

The incident occurred when the victim wanted to buy marijuana and was directed by another dealer to meet with the suspect. Police are still investigating the victim’s role, but apparently the suspect grabbed the cash as soon as the victim pulled it out; the transaction technically never took place.

Regardless, the suspect is charged with robbery with a firearm (a .380-caliber) and possession of more than 37 grams of the good stuff. The suspect was pulled over within minutes of the 911 call, giving police the defense that he “didn’t think a guy buying drugs would call the cops.” See how wrong you can be? The suspect was taken to the Brevard County Detention Center and will have a July 23rd hearing on the charges.
