The Madden Curse strikes again: The Seahawks release Shaun Alexander

I’m tired of hearing people say that the Madden curse is a myth. Just ask the 04 coverboy Michael Vick. Now you can also ask Shaun Alexander how thats worked out for him as well.

Shaun Alexander was released from the Seahawks and its not a total surprise. After his historic 2006 campaign where he rushed for 1,880 yards and had 28 TD’s he was never the same.

Alexander was the on top of the world for the first time in his career. He led the Seahawks to the Super Bowl, was the MVP and got a fat contract extension, which he should’ve gotten years ago.

He completely got the Seahawks for their money though because since then in his last two seasons he’s had a total of 1612 yards and 11 TD’s and has been hurt most of the time. Not a bad hustle Shaun.

  1. [...] If he doesn’t decide to play, does that mean that he will still be affected by the Madden Curse? [...]
