Newsday – In other words, the Jets were no closer Thursday night to dealing for Favre than they were last Friday when they were first mentioned as being one of his suitors.

Though the Jets have not closed the door on dealing for Favre, each passing day makes a deal less likely.

Good. I really don’t think that Brett Favre in Jets green in a good look for either side. When Brett Actually does retire in another year or two, the Jets will be in the same position they are in now only with no quarterback. They need to figure out what they are going to do for the future.

JS – A source close to the situation told the Journal Sentinel on Wednesday that the Packers were considering seeking a deal with one of their division rivals, most probably the Minnesota Vikings or Chicago Bears, if backed into a corner by the National Football League and public sentiment.

Wouldn’t that be crazy? I don’t think they are going to do this though, especially not the Vikings.
