Last weekend in Los Angeles, the THC Expo was held. It is the largest indoor exposition of cannabis culture in the world. I really wish I could have been there to bond with my fellow stoners. Oh well. I will make it to the stoner motherland, aka California, one day. Here are some of the highlight videos I found from the expo for those of you who weren’t able to make it as well. You can also check out celebstoner for pics from day 1 and day 2 of the event.
LeBron James is getting pretty good. Not that that’s news to any of you but things like this would even make Michael Jordan say “Damn, that was a nice shot.” This will go down as one of the greatest shots in NBA history will be on highlight reels for years to come, especially if the Cavs go on to win this thing.
After last nights win against the Hornets, the Cavs are now 20-0 at home. Cleveland is increasingly becoming one of those places you don’t want to play if you need a win.
Is Daniel Gibson enough to keep Bron Bron in Cleveland after 2010? I doubt it but for now at least, the Cavs and Gibson are happy with their new deal. – [Ohio]
Cavs 92 – Celtics 97: Yesterdays game between the Cavs and the Celtics to decide the series will definitely go down as a classic game 7. The Celtics led for the whole game but the Cavs never gave up.
LeBron James wouldn’t let his team die, he didn’t get much help from his team though. It was all because of the effort of Paul Pierce that the Celtics were able to move on though. LeBron James finished with 45 point and Paul Pierce was right there with 41 points. They each had performances in for the ages.
In the end, Pierce and the C’s were a little bit too much for LeBron James and the scrubs. The final was 97-92, Celtics.
Check out this video that features Pierces great performance.
Lakers 108 – Jazz 105: The Lakers are moving on the Western Conference finals and they even gave Kobe Bryant some extra time to rest his ailing back, he didn’t look like he needed it yesterday though.
The league MVP finished the game with 34 points, 12 of which came in the all important fourth quarter.
The Lakers were up big for most of the game. They led by 19 at halftime and 16 after the third but in the fourth quarter the Jazz came back to close the game. With 1 minute left the Jazz had pulled it to within 2 points but the Lakers held on for the close 108-105 win.
Celtics 69 – Cavs 74: The Celtics are really confusing me right now. How does a team go from being the best road team in the league to not winning one road game in the playoffs yet. I don’t know but Cavs continued their road woes last night by beating the Celtics at home 74-69.
Normally I wouldn’t think that 74 points would be enough to get a win in the playoffs but apparently it is and when your star scores a good chunk of that it helps. LeBron James had 32 points in this one to lead the Cavs to the win.
Check out this ridiculous dunk from last nights game by LeBron James. No further words need to be said.
If the Cavs go on to win this series, this will be considered a classic dunk for all time. NBA classic shows will show this 20 years from now. Hell, they’ll probably do it anyway.
LeBron James and Dwight Howard had two different results in each of their games yesterday but at least they both managed to get some pretty sick blocks.
In the Cavs and Celtics matchup, the Cavs hme court advantage helped them out tremendously. The Celtics were never really in the game.
In this play, Rajon Rondo gets a fast break and tries to go in for the “easy” layup. LeBron comes out of nowhere and well… watch the video….
During last years playoff series and the start of this year, LeBron James was making a name for himself as a late game closer, something he hadn’t been able to do much of in the past. Now he is playing like his old self, missing close shots that would either win of tie the game in the playoffs.
During the Cavs game last night against the Celtics, LeBron clanked the game tying shot. What had happened wuz!!?!
You have to give it to the Wizards. They aren’t going down without a fight. Despite all of the distractions, the riff raff between LeBron James and DeShawn Stevenson, and the fact that they were down 3-1 on the road, they managed to pull out game 5 last night behind some late game heroics by Caron Butler. Maybe he should’ve taken the last second shot in game 4.
