I was browsing through my digg rss feed and came across this video (you can also view it below). Pretty interesting, even when thousands of people in Michigan are jobless they still found the money to learn how to grow marijuana. If that’s not a motivator to decriminalize marijuana, I honestly don’t know what is.
Just imagine if one out of every four people were cultivators. Of course dispensaries would have their pick on who to buy their product from, but if it’s decriminalized people who grow it can sell it themselves and stimulate the economy. Even during “The Great Recession” people still buy alcohol and other psychoactives. Speaking of digg.com, Kevin Rose if you read this I miss The Screen Savers. And Sarah Lane she’s sexy. And Chian-Li as well, but I forgot her last name. Oh well, I can dream TechTv will come back on cable.

If you thought Texas was filled with nothing but a bunch of redneck conservative Bible thumping hicks, well you’re probably right, but not in this case! The annual TX Cannabis Crusade invites thousands of Texans to take to the streets of Austin in the name of reforming state marijuana legislation.
The Third Annual Texas Cannabis Crusade is thought to be the biggest and best crusade yet, and has already outgrown last year’s venue. This year’s event will be held at the historic Wooldridge Square Park. While the route for the march is not yet confirmed, it will definitely include a pass by City Hall. The complete lineup will be released in the next few weeks, so stay tuned (or visit the link below)!

So a couple of weeks ago my friends and I got it in our heads we wanted to get high. Simple enough right? Well we wanted to change things up a bit, so we all agreed to make some bud brownies. Using a recipe I found here (that website fuckin’ rules!!) we got all of our ingredients together and made them.

Being called “The Walmart of Weed”, a 15,000-square-foot warehouse just opened down the street from Oakland Airport in CA. The one-stop shop for medicinal marijuana cultivation is thought to be the largest in the state, selling everything you need to grow weed, but not the herb itself. (The store provides the supplies and expertise for cultivation, but only dispensaries can sell seedlings.) To be a legal grower in the state of CA, you need a doctor-certified medical reason. But don’t fret, iGrow has a doctor on the premises to write you a prescription. You can even hire on-site technicians to show you how to build and maintain a grow room in your home in just one week. Damn, really makin’ me wonder why I still live on the mickey fickey east coast & shit.

Who wasn’t absolutely delighted when CA became the first state to legalize marijuana? Apparently, some poo-headed Californian lawmakers… This past week, Los Angeles City Council passed an ordinance that will basically suck for pot smokers everywhere (er, in CA).
The new law would ban pot smoking at marijuana ‘dispensaries’, require them to close at 8 pm and outlaw the use of the well-known neon cannabis leaf sign where weed is legally sold. Even more irritating, the law would limit the number of dispensaries to 70, closing roughly 800 locations. Seriously, who were the ad wizards who came up with this one? How is that going to help the CA economy, which is already in a pretty sorry state?
To hear both sides of the argument, writer Shira Lazar sat down with the President and founder of Oaksterdam University (the first cannabis college in the US) and some random Republican candidate for CA state assembly (yawn-talk about www.getafuckingclue.com/jerkoffsky-alert).

If you had asked me before I started smoking where I would want to visit, Denver would probably be like #387 on the list. It’s cold there, air is thin, and just… why? Especially considering that there are so many “better” places to go but now there is a reason to visit Denver. They are set to get America’s First Gourmet Marijuana Restaurant. Yeah gourmet. That’s definitely what’s up.
The owner of Ganja Gourmet located at 1810 South Broadway Avenue said the restaurant will “aim to help distribute medicinal marijuana to those licensed to have it and provide an atmosphere where patients can visit with one another in a safe environment.”
Ganja Gourmet plans to offer lasagna, gourmet pizza, jambalaya, paella, chocolate mousse and flavored cheesecakes, among other gourmet dishes.
“It’s a different buzz too. It’s a more alert, more awake buzz,” Medical Marijuana Chef
Evan “Budman” said.Budman believes it will put South Broadway on the state’s budding medical marijuana map.
“It will bring people from all over Colorado here,” he said.
Did they say gourmet marijuana pizza??? I’m there. If you are in Denver, look out for me because when this place is open, I will be going.

How to legalize weed.
1. Create a federal guideline for the selling, growing and distribution of it. Allow for a unified system that makes it impossible for consumers to purchase more than one pound per month per state. With individual states creating said system within there borders. Thus curtailing any efforts of stockpiling by consumers.
2. Tax it. Thus creating a new revenue stream. Allow for the federal and state governments to have a 75/25% profit share with the federal government taking the bulk.
3. Make it illegal to sell it outside of federally approved dispensaries.
4. Make it illegal to sell it to those under the age of twenty one.
5. Make it illegal to grow unless under contract from the federal government.
6. Make it illegal to carry or posses a firearm on dispensaries.
7. Make all dispensaries federally protected similar to abortion clinics and libraries.
8. Keep already existing state laws pertaining to public consumption. Make it legal if used only in the privacy of ones home.
What other suggestions do you guys have?
Everyone knows that women have to be careful about everything they consume when they are pregnant because everything will have some sort of affect on the unborn baby. With that being said, marijuana might not be as bad for a pregnant mom or her baby as people may think. A study done by Pediatrics yielded some results that may be surprising to many.

Now with all that being said, I am not a mother or female and I don’t have any kids of my own. I am not advocating smoking marijuana while pregnant but you can’t argue with results and facts. Until someone shows me evidence from a reputable source that says otherwise, I am going to go ahead and say that if you are stressed out and pregnant, a few hits of the J is not going to kill anyone. Just be careful because combining pregnancy and the munchies could result in you buying whole isles of food from the super market. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I want to hear what you guys think about this topic. It’s a little controversial and I definitely think more research is needed but it is definitely worth finding out because I am sure there are many moms out there smoking weed (among other things) while pregnant already.
