Sources: Andy Pettitte and Roger Clemens in Mitchell Report

Published by houroc under Baseball

clemens.jpgWoah!!!! If this is true this is a bombshell. ESPN’s Sportscenter is reporting that Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte will be named in the Mitchell Report. These would be the big names that everyone is hoping to hear in the report.

According to ESPN’s sources, Brian McNamee is a former strength and conditioning coach and also a former personal trainer to Clemens. McNamee has told the Mitchell report investigators that he has provided Roger Clemens with steroids while he was in his first stint with the Yankees. He states that he also provided Pettitte with steroids with roids while he was with the Yanks his first time around too.

Also, The Bergen (N.J.) Record, citing a baseball industry official, says “several” prominent Yankees will be named in the Mitchell report. The paper said the source spoke to a third party who had seen the final report.

This would be a huge statement on this era and would solidify the fact that it’s not just the little guys cheating and the Barry Bonds of the world. It’s EVERYONE. Wow. More to come later today!
