Red Sox may not go to japan afterall: Note to Theo Epstein, STFU!

Published by houroc under Baseball

So apparently after all of the crap the Theo Epstein was talking about the Yankees, the Red Sox may not end up going to Japan afterall.

Theo Epstein criticized the Yankees for his complaints from 2004 when they had to make a trip to Japan to open their regular season. I was surprised that as a GM he had to gall to open his mouth. Usually the front office stays out of things like this but apparently in Red Sox Nation, even the front office is full of idiots.

Anyway, now the Red Sox are threatening to boycott their trip to Japan. Their concern is over the coaches pay. All the players are supposed to receive $40,000 for making the trip. The original deal included the coaches but now the Coaches were removed from the deal and the Boston Herald is reporting that they will not board the plane unless the Coaches get paid too.

After all the complaints about the trip that came out last week, this is probably the best excuse they could use to get out of the trip.
