Pudge is a Yankee

The upgraded themselves yesterday by adding Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez to fill their void at the catcher position.  In exchange they sent relief pitcher Kyle Farnsworth the Tigers.

This is a good look for the Yankees.  This should help them in their attempt to make the playoffs.  Pudge has been one the best, if not the best catcher in the league for a long time.  This season he's hitting .295.  That's better than all of the other Yankees catchers this season.

The Tigers have been in need of some help in the bullpen all season so this should help them out as well.

Both teams are currently in third place in their divisions so we will see if this deal helps either of them make a push for the playoffs.
