Nike’s Olympic Basketball ad

Published by houroc under Basketball, Videos

Here is the new Nike ad promoting the Olympic basketball team. It features the late great Marvin Gaye and of course the USA basketball team.

There isn’t really anything special about the clips of the USA players in the video but Marvin Gaye’s performance of the National Anthem is what made me post this video. Enjoy!

It was Marvin Gaye’s voice that made me notice this ad…. the best homage to the National Anthem, ever.

Marvin Gaye singing is what made me go to the internet, because the singer looked like Marvin Gaye, but duh, I thought it was happening in real time…and wanted to know who the singer was. As I am a big time Marvin Gaye fan….I kept thinking ..damn that looks like Marvin Gaye, but it can’t be him…he is dead. Nike should have given him notice with a credit of some sort, so younger people would know the late great Marvin Gaye….the best ever…..best music to dance to, also.
