In the only game of the evening, the Stars made a comeback win over the Phoenix Coyotes 2-1.
Phoenix Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov frustrated the Stars all night, almost. He stiffled the Stars for about 2 1/2 periods but not for 3 and because of that, the Stars were able to extend their current win streak to 7 games.
Steve Ott and Mike Modano finally got to Bryzgalov in the third to rally for a late victory. Modana scored his 523 career goal increasing his current lead for US born players. This goal came on a 5 on 3 advantage with 3:12 to go in the game. Clutch.
