NBA Wrap: Rockets in first in the west, The Nuggets drop 168 points on the sonics
Rockets 104 – Lakers 92
Tracy McGrady didn’t need to carry the Rockets in this one. The Rockets just keep on winning though. Rafer Alston scored 31 points and hit 8 three to lead the way for the Rockets to their 22nd consecutive win. The Rockets beat the Lakers 104-92 on Sunday.
Since they started this streak, they were in 10th in the West, now they are first. The Rockets are definitely legit but it probably didn’t help that Phil Jackson seemed a little distracted. Now I’m not going to go so far as to say that Phil Jackson smashin Michelle Tafoya, but you be the judge.

Nuggets 168 – Sonics 116
No the score is not a misprint. I was shocked too. The Nuggets put a hurtin on the Sonics for the second time this season. The previous high scoring game for this season was 138 points by the Nuggets the last time these two teams met.
The Sonics came into this one wanting some revenge, they didn’t quite get that in this one. They started off the game by giving up 48 points in the first quarter and it was all downhill from there. The Nuggets finished this one with a 168-116 win over the lowly Sonics.
Eight Nuggets scored in double figures including Marcus Camby who put up Jason Kidd numbers scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists.
