Kobe Bryant took over. Kobe was unstoppable. Except when it counted the most. Kobe finished the game with 39 points and even scored 10 straight points in the third but they couldn't get the ball to Kobe with the game on the line.
Instead, it was Tayshawn Prince who came away with the glory. Hitting a 3 pointer with only 4.5 seconds left to give the Pistons a 90-89 win over the Lakers. The Pistons normal Mr. Big shot passed it off to Prince and let him take that title for the night.
When the Lakers got the ball back with 4.5 seconds to go, they tried to get the ball to Kobe but the Pistons weren't havin it. Instead they got the ball to Lamar Odom who hit nothing but floor. Oh well, better luck next time.

The Sonics are on a roll
The Sonics have ended a 14 game losing streak by beating both of last years finalists. They snapped the streak by beating the Spurs earlier this week and last night they held off the Cavs in a 101-95 win. I'm just guessing that Lebron not playing in this one contributed to the result a little bit though, just a hunch.
Donyelle Marshall was really excited to get back into a game after missing this whole season with injury. He was so excited that he forgot to actually suit up:

Around the League
- Point guard Rajon Rondo had a season-high 12 rebounds, following one of them with a putback layup with 42 seconds left to give the Celtics the lead, and Boston held on to beat the Dallas Mavericks 96-90.
- Tim Duncan banked in a shot with 30.9 seconds remaining, Manu Ginobili hit four late free throws and the undermanned San Antonio Spurs rallied to beat the Phoenix Suns 84-81.
