The Pistons were on an crazy losing streak for them, of 2 games. This 3 game stretch for them is about as tough as it gets in the NBA. Celtics, Mavs, and defending champ Spurs. They could’ve easily gone onto their longest losing streak of the year at 3 games. Rasheed Wallace has something say about that though.

Wallace carried the team to a 90-80 victory with a 23 points and 15 points. This win not only stopped their losing streak but it also gave the Spurs their second loss in a row. Rip had 18 points and Tayshaun Prince added 17 points.

The Pistons went up early with a huge streak and went up by as much as 20 points. The Spurs made a comeback, at some points bringing the game to within seven but with poor games from Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker, they never saw the lead again after their 13-8 lead in the first.

Around the League

  • John Salmons has 28 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists as Sacramento rallies in the fourth quarter for a 116-113 win over Memphis.
  • Mehmet Okur scored 22 points and pulled down 17 rebounds and the Utah Jazz routed the tired and short-handed version of the Phoenix Suns 108-86.
