Mike D’Antoni wants the Bulls job

Suns Head Coach Mike D’Antoni was allowed by the team to interview with other teams for their head coaching positions. He has been interviewing with the Knicks and the Bulls. Both in great basketball markets but with not so great teams (especially the Knicks).
According to sources, Mike D’Antoni has told John Paxson that he wants the head coaching job in Chicago. No word yet on whether or not John Paxson wants D’Antoni but either way, don’t expect to see D’Antoni back with the Suns next year.
Steve Kerr maintains that they are not firing D’Antoni and that they want him back as the head coach.
“As we have continued to convey, we value Mike D’Antoni as the head coach of the Phoenix Suns and would like him to continue leading this basketball team,” Kerr’s statement said. “Because he has requested to speak to other teams about their head-coaching vacancies, we have granted him permission. We will have no further comment until this process further evolves.”
Riiiiiigggghhhhtttt
He just needs someone to take the fall for the whole Shaquille O’neal debacle.
