2007_11_01t173532_450×315_us_baseball_dodgers_torre.jpgTwo weeks after walking away from the Yankees, Joe Torre signed a 3 year deal with LA Dodgers for $13 million to become their manager. Torre, who grew up in Brooklyn rooting against the Dodgers, was hired Thursday as their manager — a half-century after they moved west.

I’m happy for Joe because I didn’t like the way they treated him in New York during his departure. He lead the team to the playoffs 12 straight seasons. So he hasn’t won a world series in a long time, like thats an easy accomplishment. In NewYork its always, “what have you done for me lately.”

The offer they made him for 1 year was BS. They didn’t want him to take the deal. They wanted it to seem like he didn’t want to be there by offering him a crap deal. Oh well. Even though I hate the Dodgers, best of luck to Joe this year.
