Joe Mauer ruins Gavin Floyd’s night

Coming into this game the White Sox were coming off of an 0-6 road trip and a meltdown by their Manager Ozzie Guillen so they were in desperate need for a win.

Starting Pitcher Gavin Floyd delivered and he was almost perfect in doing so. He had a no hitter going for 8 1/3 innings.

Then Joe Mauer ruined it for him with a double. Ouch. So close yet so far.

After Mauer’s hit, Ozzie took out Floyd and let Bobby Jenks finish it off.   If he lets one hit go he gets pulled??  LoL!
