I Want To Move To Oaksterdam
Need more proof that marijuana is becoming more and more mainstream everyday? Check out this article from Newsweek that came out last week which talks about Oakland, CA is becoming a modern marijuana mecca in the United States. The articles looks at Oaksterdam, a term coined for the area of Oakland surrounding Oaksterdam University, which you should all know about by now. It is a school that teaches students how to grow, sell, and market pot.
This area has had an extremely positive impact on Oakland’s economy due to the city’s unique cannabis excise tax. Gaining immense support throughout the rest of the country this article explains why the tax has made Oakland a kind of test lab for what legalized marijuana might look like.
