Mark Cuban Is An Idiot

I guess I can't blame Mark Cuban for being mad. If my team was going no where but backwards after losing what was a surefire championship a few years ago and I was constantly asked what changes we are going to make, I guess I would look to find a scapegoat as well. As a result of "false reports" of trade rumors coming from blogs and other news sources, he feels that ESPN should make a list of blacklisted sports blogs that they feel should no longer be taken seriously.

I think he is serious too.

Its almost like a sad joke. How do you make an ESPN reporter jump ? Make up something and put it on your blog. Somewhere a bunch of sports bloggers are playing a drinking game. Chug if the other guys made up trade rumor makes the ESPN crawl.

How to stop it ? ESPN.com puts up a page of blacklisted blogs and websites who’s posts they wont comment on or report on in any way. It will create a short term surge of traffic for those sites, but then they will go away as the proprietors of the sites realize that being discredited is not a good thing.

Besides the fact that they have made many false reports in the past, ESPN has no right to say that these hard working blog owners should therefore be discredited. The bloggers guys go about finding their sources the same way any fan would and for the most part, they are just speculating about it just like any other fans would.  Should we then not be allowed to talk about sports with our friends as well?  Just because the audience is larger doesn't mean that they should just be shut out.

I have a better solution.  How about Mark makes his little blacklist himself and shuts up.  ESPN makes a blacklist of NBA teams that aren't going to win a championship anytime in the next decade and includes the Mavs right at the top of the list.  Everyone else lives happily ever after, continuing to ignore the insignificant, whiny team owner who likes to point the finger, ALL THE TIME.

Stop being so annoying Mark.  Please.  No one cares what you have to say.

Busy Day Tomorrow

bwb_logo_block_white

I should get some sleep because I am going to the Blogs With Balls event in NYC tomorrow.  Technically it's today but I don't consider it tomorrow yet until I've woken up.  Probably won't have much time for any updates but I will do my best to if I can. I will also be covering the event via twitter using the #blogswithballs hash tag. Good night all.

ESPN Is A Bunch Of Bullies

ESPN Doesn't Like Blogs Very Much Afterall

Ok so I guess I am a little late addressing this topic because as you know, it gets a little hazy around these parts. Watching this madness was enough to make even a peaceful stoner blogger like myself angry though. Jerrod Morris of Midwest Sports Fans got himself into a whole heap of shit with Phillies Outfielder Raul Ibanez when he brought up the fact that his stats have gotten out of control on this article. He brings up the question of whether or not Ibanez was using performance enhancing drugs. Before going any further, I want ALL of you to actually read the article.

Don't worry, I'll wait............

What’s Wrong NOW?!?!

Ok so I apologize about all the downtime this afternoon. Had very high traffic levels again today and as a result I had to upgrade my server. It's good and bad. Good because I am growing so much that I need a stronger server but all this downtown over the last time is frustrating.

This shouldn't happen anymore now though. I promise. I am back to work and will be back to normal tomorrow as well.

We are back and (hopefully) better than ever

I am sorry about all of the issues with the website over the last week and a half but if you are subscribed to my feed, you will see that I still wrote updates but a lot of people were unable to see all of the updates because the homepage was not updating.

The issue has been resolved now and moving forward, Hail Mary Jane is going to the next level. Enjoy the ride.

4/21, The Day After

Hope everyone had a great 4/20. I have been a little bit slow today catching up but I will get it together. I just want to say shout outs to everyone at hightimes.com for throwing a hell of a party last night. My girl got robbed as the Ms High Times pageant winner but it is ok.

I am coming back with more great content shortly. Stay tuned.

Twitter Takeover

twitter-tattoo

I, like many other, am officially addicted to the latest internet craze called Twitter. It's getting out of control. For those of you who aren't aware of what twitter is, you can check out the details here.

This little microblogging service has taken the world by storm and is taking over the lives of 20 somethings everywhere, curbing productivity and giving people a sense that they belong somewhere.

I think the appeal of twitter is that it sort of feels like you are just sitting around bullshitting with your friends at all times. You can put out a conversation topic and get random responses from other random tweeps.

Here is a video I found over at Boing Boing which any twaddict will relate to.

The point to writing this is to tell you all that I apologize about slacking lately and I'm officially back and refocused. Twitter + other lucrative side hustles = Me slacking off on this site. I don't want that so I'm going to be going extra hard from here on out. Stay tuned.

PS - Don't forget to Follow me on twitter.
