For the most part sports are just a lot of fun. You get to have a reason to talk shit to your friends, a reason to dress up like an idiot, or a legit reason to cry when your team losses in the championship game.

With everything good in life though, there are always downsides. Parts of it that make it not so enjoyable. Here are 6 of the most annoying things that sports have to offer.

Who Will Be Cursed This Year?

Final Three Madden Cover Candidates Announced

madden-cover-timeline_650x103shkl

The Madden curse is real. All of the men pictured above had mediocre seasons the years they were featured on the covers. Either mediocre or injury prone. It is an inevitable truth that every year, someone will get the curse. It's just a matter of who will get it.

With that being said, lets congratulate the finalists for the Madden 2010 Cover:

QB Peyton Manning
WR Larry Fitzgerald
SS Troy Polamalu

They have done QB 2 years in a row now. Which means very slim chance Manning makes the cover. So Larry or Troy are probably going to take it.

With all the fuss everyone made about Fitz last year, I think they will go with him. What do you guys think?

Stalking Marcellus Wiley At The Playboy Mansion

I was a fan of former NFL DE Marcellus Wiley during his playing days and now that he works for ESPN and calls himself "Dat Dude", I still like him but not as much. With that being said, if I saw him in real life, I would probably do my best to get an interview with him. Bet it would be pretty interesting.

As bad as I would love to get an interview though, there is no way I would be like Ryan Sims from the Bucs. In this video he follows dat dude all around the playboy mansion in his attempt to become a correspondent for yardbarker.com. If It was me though, I would say forget yardbarker, I am going to get a one on one interview with the playboy bunnies, in one of the many bedrooms in the mansion.

Former Cowboys QB Quincy Carter Gets DWI and Weed Charges

Marijuana, DWI charges for Quincy Carter

Remember Quincy Carter from the Cowboys back in the day. You know that little era post Aikman and pre Romo when the Cowboys were really bad. Well right now he's bouncing around a little bit in Arena football and getting arrested for being drunk and driving with weed in the car.

Valley Central - Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers arrested Carter during a traffic stop off U.S. Expressway 83 in the Mission area around 2 a.m. Friday.

DPS spokeswoman Tela Mange told the Associated Press that Carter's blood-alcohol level tested at 0.14, nearly two times the legal limit of 0.08.

Authorities told Action 4 News that investigators found less than two ounces of marijuana inside his car.

Carter was held overnight at the Mission City Jail but arraigned on possession of marijuana and DWI charges at the Hidalgo County Jail on Friday morning.

Damn shame. Get it together Quincy. If you're going to smoke, don't get caught.

Albert Haynesworth Is Going To The Skins

Redskins to give Haynesworth $100M for 7 years

Albert Haynesworth

The Redskins pulled the trigger and signed highly touted free agent, Albert Haynesworth to a seven-year, $100 million deal. Not bad, not bad at all.

ESPN - The deal, which was reached early Friday morning, includes $41 million in guarantees. During the first 13 months of the contract, Haynesworth will earn approximately $32 million.

A news conference is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET at Redskins Park.

Haynesworth was bombarded with opportunities when free agency started a minute after midnight ET Friday. More teams contacted him than expected. During the first hour, Haynesworth had at least six teams willing to give him more than $30 million in guarantees.

This will significantly improve the Redskins defense and doesn't really come as a surprise. Daniel Snyder is known for pulling the trigger and offering lots of money to free agents to win. The Redskins will be tougher this season but I still don't think they will be a top team in the tough NFC East.

They Don’t Like Matt Millen Too Much In Detroit

Here is some hilarious footage from the Super Bowl. As NFL analyst and former Detroit Lions GM, MAtt Millen shares his thoughts on the game, so do the people of Detroit about him. Check out the bottom of the video as the comments scroll along.

Matt Cassell Gets Peed on

mattcassel

There were some pretty crazy stories that came out this years Super Bowl and the parties that were associated with it. This has got to be the craziest one though.

New England Patriots backup QB Matt Cassell got peed on during the game.

That's right, peed on.

NY Daily News - The football star was in line for the bathroom at ESPN’s Tampa Bay Super Bowl bash Friday night when a drunken reveler tried to cut in front of him. “Matt told him to wait his turn and headed into the urinals,” a spy tells us. Moments later, the fella barged in and proceeded to purposefully pee directly on Cassel’s leg. After security tossed the drunk, Cassel headed back out into the crowd, wet pants and all.

I think I would prefer for someone who was drunk to either spit on me or punch me than to pee on me. That has got to be the most disrespectful thing you can do.

The craziest part of this story was that Security had the opportunity to toss him out of the spot. I wish someone would piss on me during the Super Bowl. They would've found him facedown in a puddle of blood in the bathroom.

The only thing that would've made this story better is if it was Tom Brady getting the golden shower.

James Harrisons 100 Yard Interception Return

This changed the course of things going into the second half for sure. Huge play.

Larry Fitzgerald Tried…

Larry Fitzgerald had a pretty good game in the Cards Super Bowl loss last night. His two second half TD's almost brought the Cards back for the win. It wasn't quite enough but here his best play of the evening.
