Michael Crabtree, You’ve got a bright future kid

I am usually the kind of sports fan who goes for the underdog but on Saturdays game between #1 Texas and #7 Texas Tech, I was definitely riding with the Longhorns.

Unfortunately they weren’t able to pull of the win because Texas Tech’s star receiver Michael Crabtree. He has a tremendous upside and he may just be the best receiver in the country.

Here is a video of the last second play that won the game for Tech. Very disappointing for the Longhorns.

Texas A & M clowns Iowa State

What should you do when your football team is 2-5 and can’t beat anyone in the conference? Put other teams down to make yourself feel better of course. Bullies have been doing it for years.

There’s a group of Texas A & M alumni over at the Aggie Report who are making smack talk videos about every team that the Aggies face this season in football. It’s too bad the team hasn’t been rallying around them.

On the bright side though, the videos are hilarious so if your an A&M fan, at least you have something to look forward to.

This is a video of them clowning Iowa st and with references to weed, incest, and glue sniffing it’s no wonder America is looked at the way we are.

Keep Tim Teabow away from your kids

img_0374.JPG

Tim Teabow has been pretty low key since winning the Heisman Trophy last season but we’ve found the Florida Gators Quarterback, doing Heisman stances with babies in Thailand. Thats not cool. I wouldn’t trust this guy with my kid, or any kid for that matter.

Jimmy Johns likes the White Girl… well not anymore at least

Jimmy Johns

Where ever Nick Saban goes, bad things follow. In the latest string of problems for Alabama (besides the fact that Saban is their coach), Linebacker Jimmy Johns was arrested and charged with possession of and trafficking of cocaine.

The police had been investigating Johns for a while.  They made multiple drug purchases and after he was arrested, his house was searched and in it they found 10 grams of cocaine and ecstasy pills.

Investigators with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force picked up Johns Tuesday morning around 8 a.m. Sources tell FOX6 News Johns has been under investigation for a couple of weeks.

Tuscaloosa Police Chief Ken Swindle says Johns is charged with 5 counts of distribution of powder cocaine, and 1 count of possession.

He was swiftly kicked off the team by Saban.  If there is one positive in this, at least he wasn’t selling to teammates.

College gameday crew > Rose Bowl tickets?

espns_college_gameday.jpg

Nelva Deeke of Hubbell, Nebraska won a Home Depot contest a few months ago and the prize was a choice of either getting an all expense paid trip to California for the Rose Bowl or College Gameday hosting a BBQ at your house.

The logical choice would be to go to California right? I guess not because she chose to hang out with the College Gameday Crew. I know your saying “But that is the logical choice but hey… shes from Nebraska so what do you expect.

“I could’ve gotten tickets, with all the amenities, to the Rose Bowl, but since Nebraska wasn’t playing, I decided not to use that one,” she said. Instead of a barbecue in Hubbell, Deeke and some friends met the GameDay crew for lunch at a Lincoln restaurant, May 21.

“Rather than have the barbeque, I don’t think anyone wants to come to Hubbell – it’s only 50 people – they picked up eight, including myself, (and) we had lunch at Vincenzo’s in the Haymarket in Lincoln and the limo took us home.”

She described Fowler, Herbstreit and Corso as “very nice”, “open” and “friendly”.

I don’t know about you but if it was me and I really didn’t want to watch the game, I would’ve taken the trip, scalped the tickets, and used to money to go shopping in Southern California.

People from Nebraska are crazy, unless you read my blog, then your ok.

Chris Lofton was treated for cancer: He’s got some big balls

lofton.jpg

Tennessee’s Senior guard Chris Lofton had surgery to treat testicular cancer that was discovered after a failed drug test last year. During the test it was discovered that Lofton potentially had a tumor.

The whole thing started when Lofton was randomly selected to take a drug test during the 2007 NCAA tournament. Afterwards, Lofton told ESPN.com that he had surgery in May of 2007 and had four weeks of Radation during that month.

Despite the fact that he was diagnosed with Cancer, he made 431 3-pointers during his career which ranks 3rd in NCAA history. He was also selected as a second-team all american.

“There was a point this past season that I was asked about Chris Lofton’s health almost every day,” Pearl said in the statement. “Chris Lofton is one of the toughest players I have ever been around. Not once did he make an issue of what he has gone through. Never once did he complain.”

He’s got some big cojones, especially for coming out with this now.

Ryan Perrilloux kicked off LSU

43864002_lsu_v_kentucky_article.jpg

Ryan Perrilloux is done at LSU. He was kicked off of LSU today by Coach Les Miles for an undisclosed reason but it was probably just that the coach was fed up with him.

Perrilloux has been suspended three times since joining the Tigers. He was caught trying to enter a Baton Rouge casino with a fake ID which was followed up by a federal investigation into a possible counterfeiting scandal. Perrilloux was never formally charged and returned to the team. Several days before LSU traveled to Tuscaloosa to face their former coach, Nick Saban, and Alabama, Perrilloux was suspended for an apparent night club fight just off the LSU campus. Perrilloux was again cleared of any wrongdoing, but was not allowed to travel with the team to Tuscaloosa. The most recent suspension came after another disturbance involving Perrilloux at a Baton Rouge restaurant. It appeared Perrilloux finally left the restaurant after management threatened to call the police. Perrilloux rejoined the team less than one month ago, but was still thought to be in Les Miles’ dog house until he fulfilled some requirements. It appeared he did not fulfill those requirements, leading to his dismissal.

Perrilloux was supposed to be this teams next JaMarcus Russell but obviously that didn’t work out. Now the Tigers will look at Andrew Hatch, Junior that transfered from Harvard, and Jarrett Lee, a red shirt Freshmen from Texas.
