Travis Leslie Goes Hard

This post was written by Stoner Jesus, Click here to read his blog and Click here to read more by this author

So I was watching the Kentucky vs. Georgia college basketball game Saturday with my dad as we baked and bonded. Kentucky won, which is great, but the purpose of this post is a Georgia dunk (over 6′11″ DeMarcus Cousins) very early in the game. I mean damn, this kid silenced 23,000 people in Rupp Arena, and for good reason. You may not see a better dunk this year.

We also watched the Bengals lose, but we have been watching that for over 20 years, so we’re used to it (although we don’t get the pleasure of watching them lose in the playoffs very often, so that was a bonus).

Bruce Pearl Puts On For Tennessee

Bruce Pearl, the head coach of the Men Basketball Team at Tennessee, is probably one of the most colorful coaches in any sport. He is always very enthusiastic and emotional with everything related to his squad, he always has lots of team spirit and likes to grope random females.

Here he is making an attempt to rap, with a poka dot blazer, a tie, and no shirt on. SMH.

You also might want to cover your ears. The video gets cut out a little bit or else it would be even worse.

It’s About Time

Some highlights from NJIT’s first win

NJIT just broke a 51 game losing streak. I’m a little surprised it wasn’t any longer than that.

If you don’t know anything about NJIT, I’ll give you a little briefing. It’s a very nerdy school with a lot of geek kids in it. Kind of like a Yale or something only more geared towards technology.

None of those kids are athletic at all but they definitely didn’t let that stop them from celebrating the win. Congratulations, now lets see if we can make it a winning streak.

Gator Girl Pole Dancing To Celebrate Florida’s National Championship Victory

After Florida’s National Championship victory last week, I’m sure there were many parties, drunken people, lots of unique celebrations. Not all of them were caught on youtube and happened to be this great though.

Here is one chick that decided that it would be a good idea to show off her mediocre pole dancing skills to celebrate the Gators victory. I’ve seen better but she could still get it. If I was one of the players and I saw this I would definitely tell her that she needs to show her team spirit on my pole.

Jim Boeheim Doesn’t Like Mics

In my mind, Jim Boeheim has always been one of those guys that keeps his cool under any circumstance.

Not in this case though.

After his teams surprising loss to Cleveland St, Boaheim had a post game interview that didn’t go so well, for the mic.

That’s fucked up, it probably wasn’t the mics fault.

Shout outs to my man Ethan over at NESW Sports for finding this one.

Sam Bradford Can Fly

There are some hits in football that make you cringe, there are some that make you say “god damn“, and there are some that just make you say wow. This one is the latter.

During the shootout game between Oklahoma and Oklahoma St, the Sooners QB Sam Bradford decided to run the ball and go for the touchdown. He gained a bunch of yards, didn’t get the touchdown and he’s lucky to not have been injured the way he flew through the air.

Death to the BCS! Long Live Barack Obama!

Barack Obama is a man among boys. Finally a President that understands what the average person cares about.

In an interview with Steve Croft on 60 Minutes last night, Barack shared his desire to see college football get a playoff system and he also said that he would be willing to use his power to see if he can make that happen.

All I have to say is it’s about fucking time the government did something right by sports. I mean I appreciate them trying to clean up baseball and all but I also like seeing a lot of home runs. This is a change I can definitely believe in.

Ryan Leaf Being Investigated for Drug Allegation

Remember Ryan Leaf? The biggest NFL bust in recent memory, maybe ever? He was always known have a lot of off the field issues but he seemed to be getting things together by working as an assistant coach at Texas A & M, even though they are 4-5. I’m sure he has nothing to do with that…

Anyway, he is being investigated by police for potential possession of pain killers obtained illegally.

AP – Canyon police Chief Bobby Griffin says the investigation is in its preliminary stages, but confirmed the allegation was that Leaf obtained a controlled substance by fraudulent means.

“We are trying to determine whether anything like that happened,” Griffin said. “There is not enough information or facts to say we have a crime being committed or not.”

“Some allegations have been made and some rumors are flying around. We’ve been asked … to look into it,” said Griffin, who declined to say why police began the investigation.

I’m gonna go ahead and give Ryan Leaf the benefit of the doubt on this one even though it probably isn’t a bad idea for someone who has had as many failures as him to medicate himself somehow. He should smoke instead though. :-D
