Albert Haynesworth Is Going To The Skins
Redskins to give Haynesworth $100M for 7 years

The Redskins pulled the trigger and signed highly touted free agent, Albert Haynesworth to a seven-year, $100 million deal. Not bad, not bad at all.
ESPN – The deal, which was reached early Friday morning, includes $41 million in guarantees. During the first 13 months of the contract, Haynesworth will earn approximately $32 million.
A news conference is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET at Redskins Park.
Haynesworth was bombarded with opportunities when free agency started a minute after midnight ET Friday. More teams contacted him than expected. During the first hour, Haynesworth had at least six teams willing to give him more than $30 million in guarantees.
This will significantly improve the Redskins defense and doesn’t really come as a surprise. Daniel Snyder is known for pulling the trigger and offering lots of money to free agents to win. The Redskins will be tougher this season but I still don’t think they will be a top team in the tough NFC East.
