LeBron James sucks at HORSE

You would think that being an NBA star and Olympic champion basketball player would make a simple game horse, uhhh I dunno… simple?

I guess if your LeBron James that’s not the case though or at least when he goes up against guys like David Kalib.

Now when I first heard about this video and this guys name, I’m like ‘Ok his name is David Kalib and he beat LeBron at horse, hes gotta be a black guy right?’

Wrong. He’s just a sick white dude with nice trick shots who managed to beat LeBron twice.

Take that Mr. Multimillionaire basketball star.

The Game humiliates Bow Wow in Madden

Remember the recent challenge the Bow gave to The Game for a Madden showdown?

Well things didn’t work out for Bow Wow the way he expected…. as in a 55-23 loss.

Bow Wow picked the Bengals and Game rolled with the Patriots, so you already knew who was going to win but this was just ridiculous.

Bow Wow fumbled the ball on the first drive, Game scored on the ensuing possession and it was all downhill from there.

Full Highlights in the video above, shout outs to Nick over at World Star Hip Hop for the tip.

Shawne Merriman is shuttin it down for the year

It looks like it’s a wrap for Shawne Merriman this season, smart move.

Star outside linebacker Shawne Merriman pulled the plug on his 2008 season on Tuesday when he told the San Diego Chargers he’ll have surgery on the two torn ligaments in his left knee.

The loss of Merriman, whose hard hits earned him the nickname “Lights Out,” is a big one for a team that has Super Bowl expectations.

Merriman’s decision came two days after he barely resembled the player who had an NFL-high 39½ sacks in the past three seasons and played in three straight Pro Bowls.

I don’t even know why he considered trying to play through this injury, he has TWO torn ligaments in his knee. If his knee gives out do you think the Chargers are going to be there with some kind of severance pay or something?

No. They are going to say some bullshit like ‘oh, your not the player that you used to be’ and Shawne will just be assed out. It was smart to just go ahead and get it fixed and work towards getting back to being the dominant player he has been in the past.

I’m sorry about this

I love my readers, you guys are my bread and butter but I guess you could say that I am feeling sadistic today.

Here’s an interesting video of former backup, current New England Patriots QB Matt Cassel singing an “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys.

He actually isn’t the worst karaoke singer I’ve ever heard but he’s clearly enebriated so this should be good for laughs or vomits, whichever comes first.

Daily Fix: Never put off till tomorrow what you can ignore entirely

So I really don’t know what made me think that I would have time to make more updates last week. It was my first weekend home after being away for a year.

It didn’t happen.

I’ve been spending my time catching up with old family and friends. Had the craziest night in New York last weekend… LoL, was in the city until 7 am and didn’t wake up until like 4. Good times.

This week I will be catching up with some of my old female friends for more good times.

I gotta get back to work sometime though so here are today’s links.

Patrick Ewing likes shorts

Congratulations to all the new basketball hall of famers who were inducted this weekend. The list included Adrian Dantley, Patrick Ewing, Hakeem Olajuwon, Pat Riley, Cathy Rush, and Dick Vitale.

I don’t think any of the inductees were as prepared to actually start a pick up game as Patrick Ewing was. Maybe he can get revenge on Hakeem Olajuwon for 1994.

Lance Armstrong will ride again

It looks Lance Armstrong hasn’t had his last ride yet, and no we’re not talking about a riding Ashley Olsen:

Lance Armstrong will come out of retirement next year to compete in five road races with the Astana team, according to sources familiar with the developing situation.

Armstrong, who turns 37 this month, will compete in the Amgen Tour of California, Paris-Nice, the Tour de Georgia, the Dauphine-Libere and the Tour de France — and will race for no salary or bonuses, the sources, who asked to remain anonymous, told VeloNews.

Lance inspired so many people by overcoming testicular cancer, winning seven straight Tour De Frances and bedding lots of hot girls.  It will be good to have him back.

Note to Steven Jackson: Training Camp helps prepare you for hits like this

Before the NFL season, Steven Jackson decided that he didn’t need to go to training camp this season because he didn’t feel like the contract that he had at the time from the Rams wasn’t good enough.

He is one of the few threats on offense that the Rams have left and they need him so of course they were able to get a deal done but unfortunately for Jackson he wasn’t prepared for this hit that the Eagles Sheldon Brown put on him.

Jake Delhomme shocks the Chargers [Video]

The NFL is known for sayings like “Any Given Sunday.”  What that means is that on any given Sunday, anyone can beat anyone.

I don’t think anyone predicted that the Panthers would beat one of the NFL’s top teams in the Chargers in San Diego.  I know I didn’t.

With seconds left in the game Jake Delhomme hit his tight end Dante Rosario for the touchdown that put them on top as time expired.

Sucks for the Chargers.

The NFL is back… Tom Brady is out

The NFL season officially kicked off last Thursday night with the Giants win over the Redskins but yesterday was the first full day of action. All is well in the world.

The season opened with lots of good and bad news.

I guess I’ll start with the bad news. My picks went to shit. With games like the Bills beating the Seahawks, the Panthers beating the Chargers and the Bears beating the Colts… My picks went downhill but I’m sure I’m not the only one who got those games wrong.

Now to the good news, Tom Brady is hurt and will be out for the whole season. Normally I would never root for a key player to get hurt on a team, except if it’s Tom Brady and the Patriots. I hate them more than any other team in any other sports, plus since he acted cocky last season before the Super Bowl, it’s been all downhill from there. That’s karma for you.

Can you say division title for the Jets.

So let’s all embrace the return of everyones favorite sport, are you ready for some football?
