Mets 1 - Rockies 4: The Rockies have been struggling lately with a lot of injuries. The Mets have been struggling with everything else. With the huge of distraction of their managers job on the line, the Mets lost again yesterday with a 4-1 loss to the Rockies. The Mets can barely put together a two game win streak and in this game it was sad because they were essentially facing a triple A lineup.

Don't tell that to the Rockies Seth Smith and Aaron Cook though. Smith hit a 3 run shot in the fourth to give the Rockies the lead. Cook took care of the rest pitching a four hit complete game and holding the Mets to 1 run.

Cardinals 3 - Dodgers 4: It was Clayton Kershaw's first start in the Major leagues yesterday for the Dodgers and though he didn't get the decision in the matchup, he was still very satisfied. Kershaw gave up two runs on five hits in six innings. He also struck out seven Cards and walked only one. The game had to go to extra innings but Andre Ethier got the game winning hit in the 10th to give the Dodgers 4-3 win.

Angels 2 - White Sox 3: Carlos Quentin led the way for the White Sox in this one, hitting two home runs off of John Lackey including the game winning walk off in the bottom of the 9th. That home run gave the White Sox the 3-2 win over the Angels. It was probably retribution after being hit by Lackey's pitch in the first inning.

Mariners 5 - Yankees 6: The Yankees are trying to get back on track. Yesterday they beat the Mariners 6-5 in comeback fashion for their 5th consecutive win.. The Yanks scored 4 runs in the 8th inning including a go ahead hit by Jose Molina that Ichiro Suzuki lost in the Sun. Thats what happens when your team is winning and the other team is losing. This was the Mariners 6th straight loss.

Red Sox 3 - A's 6: The A's wanted to make sure that Jon Lester didn't think that he was gonna come into their building and get another no hitter. Their first hitter got a hit and the hits continued as they hit Lester up for four runs in their 6-3 win over the Red Sox. Their win completed the sweep of the defending champs over the weekend.

NBA Wrap: Ginobili breaks out and leads Spurs to game 3 win

manu052608.jpg

Lakers 84 - Spurs 103: It was only a matter of time before the struggling Manu Ginobili broke out of his slump and got back on track. In the first two games he struggled through injuries, frustration and plenty of missed shots but in game 3 he came back with 30 points to lead the Spurs to the 103-84 win.

Manu had help.  Tim Duncan finished the game with 22 points and 21 rebounds and Tony Parker also added 20 points.  When all three of those guys are on their job, it's hard to beat the Spurs.

Kobe Bryant lead the way for the Lakers with 30 points and Paul Gasol contributed 15 points but it wasn't enough.

The series is now 2-1 Lakers.  Game 4 will be a very important game for both teams and could determine the series.

Kelly Blair is a proud drug dealer: Blair sold PED’s to Clemens, Pettitte, and Bagwell

pettitte-clemens.jpeg

Kelly Blair, the owner of the Texas based gym 1-on-1 Elite Personal Fitness, bragged to friends about selling performance enhancing drugs to Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte and Jeff Bagwell according to sources.

Blair was questioned by federal agents conducting the Roger Clemens perjury case and according to his interview with ESPN, he told them "everything."  He admitted that he had sold HGH, steroids and he had used steroids himself, however he claimed that he never sold anything to Clemens or Andy Pettitte.

The sources didn't want to be named for fear of retribution from Kelly Blair and they admitted that they don't even know for sure whether Blair was being honest or if he was full of it just trying to act like hes hangin with the big boys.  This issue isn't going anywhere anytime soon for Roger Clemens.  It's gonna be a hot summer.

Kevin Garnett chats with Bill Russell: This is some pretty inspirational shit

During halftime of yesterdays Celtics/Pistons game, ABC showed part 2 of an conversation between Kevin Garnett and the Celtics legend Bill Russell. I missed the first part of the interview but I've seen it now (thanks youtube).

This is a pretty inspirational conversation.

NHL Wrap: Red Wings rock in hockey town

wings052508.jpg

Penguins 0 - Red Wings 4: The Red Wings got two goals from a player in this one but no it wasn't Pavel Datsyuk, Henrik Zetterberg, or one of the other usual suspects. Mikael Samuelsson broke out of slump in this game and came through with 2 goals.

As if Pens goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury wasn't nervous enough in this one, the Red Wings kept the heat on him the whole night with a 36 shot attack. Fleury did his best but it wasn't good enough to stop the Red Wings from taking an early series lead with a 4-0 win.

Red Wings goaltender Chris Osgood only had to stop 19 shots. He did so with ease.

Something tells me this may be a short series.

NBA Wrap: Celtics snatch back home court advantage

celtics0525081.jpg

After the Celtics lost game 2, all they had to hear about was how they hadn't won a game on the playoffs yet. They insisted that they weren't concerned about it that they could win a game on the road. Well they did and they picked a pretty good time to get their first one on the road.

Kevin Garnett started out slow because of foul trouble but ended up leading the way for the Celtics with 22 points in their 94-80 win over the Pistons in game 3. The Celtics are now up 2-1 in the series.

On a side note, Rodney Stuckey is starting to play better and better for the Pistons. Chauncey Billups had a very poor game and Stuckey picked up the slack as best as he could with 17 points.

Marc-André Fleury falls: I guess Fleury is nervous

Penguins goalie Marc-André Fleury must've before game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals yesterday because as he was coming out to the game, he fell flat on his face.

Give him credit though, he got back up quickly and tried to play it off.  Too bad you were caught on camera homey.

Chase Utley is on his grind

Phillies 2b Chase Utley is one of the games top second basemen.  He is hitting .307 with 14 home runs and 33 RBIs which are all among the league leaders and he is part of one of the craziest hitting infields in baseball.

His numbers have people mentioning his name in the MVP races, yeah I know the season just started but you know how it is.  People are always talking about league MVPs.

Anyway, Utley's success is no coincidence.  He works hard... harder than your average player.  He comes in early and watches video, before every game.  Thats a man truly on his grind right there.  Check it out.

Ronny Turiaf is very exuberant

Ronny Turiaf is kind of crazy looking.  I always thought that about him but after watching this video, I really think he's crazy.

Lamar Odom’s shoes switch

During halftime of last nights game Lamar Odom switched his sneakers and it helped him finish the game with 20 points, 12 boards and 4 blocks.  They weren't just any sneakers though, he switched to his Kobe's.
