If you ever distract Chris Berman during taping, prepare to get cursed out. This is funny as hell because in the middle of cursing out all of his co-workers, he drank a sip of bud light and continued. Nice!
I feel your pain Chris.

I just love youtube. If wasn’t for youtube than priceless videos like this would be lost forever.
The Mavs seem close to winning the Jason Kidd contest. According to ESPN, the Mavericks were in serious trade discussions with Portland on a three-way deal that would send Kidd back back to his roots.
The Mavs drafted Kidd back in 1994. It didn’t last long there for him but he did manage to win rookie of the year. Makes you wonder what would’ve happened if that whole “three J’s” thing worked out.
In this potential trade, the Blazers would get Mavericks guard Devin Harris and possibly Mavs forward Brandon Bass, New Jersey would receive draft and financial considerations, Dallas’ Jerry Stackhouse and a trio of young prospects from Portland Travis Outlaw, Channing Frye and Jarrett Jack) while the Mavericks would score Kidd.
The talks have cooled recently but the Mavs should definitely try to go for this one. Kidd would bring experience and poise to an offense with a lot of weapons. He would really open on Terry, Nowitzki and Howard and they would become the team to beat in the west. Maybe they won’t collapse in the playoffs again.
Baron Davis leads Warriors past Hornets
Baron Davis missed the morning shoot around because he was feeling ill, he got booed every time he touched the ball but despite all of that, he was able to lead the Warriors past the streaking Hornets in a 116-103 victory.
The Hornets have been this years biggest surprise with the top record in the Western Conference but they couldn’t stop the Warriors emotional leaders, Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson who put in 23 and 26 points respectively.
Don’t make Lebron angry
So the Blazers tried and they were able to get into Lebron James’ head and frustrate him a bit. Not enough though. James, who was stifled with a couple of a blocked shots, decided that enough was enough and it was time to take over in the fourth quarter, which has been his trademark this season.
James scored 17 points in the fourth as well as the reverse layup that put the Cavs up with less than a second to go in the game. Not a bad time to take your first lead in the second half.
The Cavs topped the Blazers 84-83 to win their fifth straight road win. That was the first time they have done that since 1998. They have also finally jelled together, winning 13 or their last 16 games. Watch out for this team in the playoffs. Everyone’s talking about the Pistons and the Celtics, and rightfully so but this team can definitely make some noise in the playoffs this season.
Around the League
After the Mets collapse last year, they had to make some changes. They had to make a big deal in the offseason to prove that they were really about it when it came to winning the National League. They accomplished that yesterday by agreeing to a trade with the Twins for Johan Santana.
The deal is not final yet though. Santana still has waive his no trade clause and the Mets also have until 5 pm on friday but to finalize a contract extension with Santana. Even though the deal is not final, there is no way that the Mets will let this one go.
The Twins stand to receive outfielder Carlos Gomez and minor-league pitchers Phil Humber, Deolis Guerra and Kevin Mulvey. Gomez, 22, who hit .232 last season, is expected to replace center fielder Torii Hunter, the Twins’ seven-time Gold Glove winner who signed a five-year, $90 million contract in November with the Los Angeles Angels.
This trade makes this team the team to beat in the National League, hands down. They shouldn’t have same type of collapse that they had last season.
So it wasn’t that long ago that Brooks broke the news that Stephen A. Smith was not too fond of bloggers. Heres a quote from the distinguished Mr. A. Smith:
And when you look at the internet business, what’s dangerous about it is that people who are clearly unqualified get to disseminate their piece to the masses. I respect the journalism industry, and the fact of the matter is …someone with no training should not be allowed to have any kind of format whatsoever to disseminate to the masses to the level which they can. They are not trained. Not experts
Well Apparently he has joined the ranks of the unqualified or he just realized, as we all did, that the internet is the future but whatever it is Stephen A. Smith has gotten his own blog. Now it is still unconfirmed that this is actually his but I’m gonna assume that it is. If you look at some of his quotes, it definitely looks like him:
Essentially, I’m pretty much in a position to say what I want, when I want, how I want and to whom I damn-well please, which anyone who knows me knows I’ll exercise at any given moment. There will be plenty of time for sounding off in the very near future – about any and all issues that interest me.
I could just imagine Stephen, with his voice that sounds like a bullhorn put up to a loud speaker, saying something like that. Only time will tell if this is actually him or not but we will see.
This is a message to my loyal readers. I am so sorry about not updating. My internet has been cut off for the last few weeks. I will be trying to get it back on soon but if not I will have to sneak and make updates at work. I just started a new job as a transporter at the Methodist Hospital so I will be able to get on their computers like I am today. Thanks for all your understanding and when I get back SportFiends will be better than ever
So as this game started, you could tell that it wasn’t gonna be like most games. The snow was coming down and as the game went on it only got worse and worse. Thats kind of like what the day was like for the Seahawks.
They got off to a fast start forcing Ryan Grant in two fumbles in the first couple of minutes of the game. The Seahawks jumped all over the opportunity scoring two straight touchdowns to go up 14-0 early in Lambeau Field. Uh-oh, could the Seahawks come into Lambeau and beat the favored Packers? Could they possibly pull off the big upset…..?…… No.
Brett Favre and Ryan Grant weren’t intimidated whatsoever. They went off to score 5 straight touchdowns. Ouch. Ryan Grant made up for his early mistakes by gaining 201 yards are the ground and accounting for 3 touchdowns. Not a bad way to respond.
Ryan Grant’s day not only gave him some confidence after starting the game out horribly but his 201 yards and 3 touchdowns are all franchise playoff records. Not bad for you first playoff game eh? This production helped them pull off an offensive avalanche that was comparable to the avalanche of snow that was coming down by the end of the game. It got really bad towards the end which worked in their favor being up so big because Seattle couldn’t really get the passing game going and their running game was stifled as well.
Ok so Andrew Bynum is quickly becoming one of the best young players in the league. They had a thoroughly convincing victory last night at the Staples Center with Bynum coming up big. He had 25 points and 17 boards which is a career high. I guess Andrew must have been really excited about it because after the game he dropped the F-bomb in an interview. Check it out:

Former NBA All star Glen Rice was arrested on Friday on a battery charges. In a move that would’ve made R. Kelly proud, Glen Rice found a man hiding in his wifes closet and beat the man up.
Rice went to his estranged wife’s home and found Alberto Perez in the closet. He proceeded to punch him several times. After that Perez ran out of the house and called the cops. He got cut on his forehead and needed stitches.
Maybe Perez didn’t see trapped in the closet?
