Whos the Illest MC out there right now? Jay-Z? Lil Wayne? Game? Nope!!! Watch out for Rasheed Wallace. He looks like he is considering a new career move after last weeks freestyle before the Rockets game. He already had a crew with Richard Hamilton as one of entourage members. Phil Dawson makes some crazy Field Goals

Yesterdays game in Cleveland featuring the Browns and the Bills looked more like an image out of the ice age than a football game but despite the harsh conditions they still played the game. Cleveland won the game 8-0.  This included two field goals by Phil Dawson.  With crazy snow and wind he was actually able to hit a 48 yarder, off the crossbar again.  Check out the field goal:

Micheal Spurlock historic kickoff return for a TD

Micheal Spurlock returned a kickoff 90 yards for the first kickoff return touchdown in Tampa Bay Buccaneers franchise history, as the Bucs went on to clinch the NFC South yesterday. He will forever go down in Bucs history. Hopefully they don’t have to wait another 1,865 kickoffs for another one.  Check the video out:

NBA Wrap: Celtics just don’t lose anymore

pierce.jpgCeltics push win streak to 9 in Toronto

The Celtics topped the Raptors last night 90-77. Their defense is on top of their game and even without one member of the big three (Ray Allen), they were still able to pull off a victory over the Raptors.

The Celtics are 20-2. They have won 9 games in a row. The only problem is that they have played a cake schedule. They have not played any of the powerhouse teams in the West and they have only played a few good teams in the East. We will see how they do when Detroit comes to town this week.

Corey Maggette makes half court hook shot

I had to make a post about this. During last nights game against the Lakers, Corey Maggette was trying to get the last shot of the quarter. He then dribbled the ball off his leg into the other half of the court, he then scambled to picked the ball and throw up a desperation shot.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7OLaNA16cA]

Amazing shot but it should have been a backcourt violation. Oh well.

NFL Week 15 Wrap: Patriots go to 14-0, Dolphins WIN A GAME?!?!

dgdff.jpgSpygate round 2 goes to the Patriots

So Tom Brady was ineffective in this game. He didn’t need to be. For once the Patriots decided to run the ball, which they did effectively against the Jets on Sunday. This was the first game of the season that Brady didn’t throw a touchdown but they were still able to pull a 20-10 victory of the Jets.

After the game, all eyes were at midfield where two coaches actually shook hands afterwards. These friends turned enemies didn’t embrace for long. Bill Belichick wore a sly smile, while Eric Mangini looked sad like someone stole his lunch money.

Dolphins win?!?!!

The Dolphins blew it. They had a chance to go down in history. This would’ve been a team that people would have talked about forever. Now they are just any average 1 win team. No one will ever remember them.

The Dolphins beat the Ravens in overtime yesterday after Matt Stover missed a kick to win it. Matt Stover is usually money in overtime. He has gone 5/5 in his career so it usually means that if he is coming up to kick it, it’s a wrap. Not this time though. After he missed it and the Dolphins got it back this is what happened:

Jags out-Steeler the Steelers

From the eyes of Steelers fans, Fred Taylor is a problem. In 2000 Fred Taylor set a record for an opposing running back against the Steelers by rushing for 234 yards. Yesterday he continued his abuse of the Steelers, rushing for 147 yards in their win over the Steelers.

This loss officially makes the Jags look like a contender while the Steelers are going in the opposite direction. They are now tied with the Browns in their division at 9-5 and anything can happen. They did win both games against the Brown this season but there are still games to be played. We will see how it all shakes out but this should be interesting in the final two weeks.

Around the league

  • The Washington Redskins’ kept their playoff hopes alive and put a little doubt into the New York Giants’ once seemingly certain road to the postseason. Clinton Portis ran for 126 yards and a touchdown and Todd Collins led the Redskins on five scoring drives in his first start in 10 years, outplaying Eli Manning in a 22-10 victory.
  • LaDainian Tomlinson and the San Diego Chargers left no doubt. The Chargers repeated as AFC West champions by beating the punchless Detroit Lions 51-14, their fourth straight win and eighth in 10 games.
  • Tony Romo’s latest A-list girlfriend and his parents came to Texas Stadium to see the Dallas Cowboys play their final home game before the playoffs. They were treated to Donovan McNabb and the Philadelphia Eagles beginning their last-gasp bid to get into the playoffs, too.
  • Oakland Raiders running back Justin Fargas was unable to celebrate his first 1,000-yard rushing season because he sprained his right knee shortly after reaching the milestone in Sunday’s 21-14 loss to Indianapolis.
  • Micheal Spurlock started up the middle, cut to the outside and didn’t stop running until making history for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs ran back a kickoff for a touchdown for the first time in the franchise’s 32 seasons and routed the reeling Atlanta Falcons 37-3 to win the NFC South for the second time in three seasons.
  • A simple slant pattern gives Brett Favre the NFL record for all-time passing yardage as the Packers clinch a first-round playoff bye with a 33-14 victory over St. Louis.
  • Drew Brees caps a 315-yard day with a clutch, 22-yard completion to Billy Miller that allows the Saints to run out the clock in a 31-24 win over the Cardinals.
  • Vince Young passes for 191 yards and two touchdowns and Rob Bironas kicked four field goals in Tennessee’s 26-17 victory in Kansas City, keeping the Titans in the wild-card playoff hunt.
  • Jamal Lewis rushed for 163 yards and Phil Dawson kicked two field goals in harsh, wintry winds as the Cleveland Browns improved their postseason chances with an 8-0 win over the Bills.
  • Rookie Matt Moore, the fourth Panthers starting quarterback this season, engineers three fourth-quarter scoring drives and the Panthers stun the Seahawks, 13-10.
  • Shaun Hill passed for 197 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score in his first N.F.L. start, and the San Francisco 49ers beat the Cincinnati Bengals, 20-13, Saturday night for only their second victory in 12 games.
  • Mario Williams dragged down Jay Cutler for the third time, jumped up and sashayed like a hula dancer. Last year’s No. 1 pick had a career-high 3 1/2 sacks to lead the Houston Texans to a 31-13 victory over the Denver Broncos on Thursday night.

Never play in front of your girlfriend, just ask Tony Romo

jess_tony.jpgSo it’s official, Tony Romo has one of the hottest girlfriends alive. He is dating Jessica Simpson. She was in the building to watch Romo stink it up against the Eagles today. She was wearing a pink cowboys uni with her new mans number on it, number 9. Nice.

Any attempts to impress his new chick didn’t work for Romo. He had his worst game of the year statistically throwing 13-for-36 for 214 yards and three interceptions. They lost the game at home against the Eagles 10-6. His quarterback rating of 22.2. Ouch.

A lot of people were calling this the “Jessica Jinx” but not really. Last year, when Romo was dating Carrie Underwood he also stunk it up at home against the Eagles. Heres a word of advice to Tony, don’t let your hot blond girlfriends come to your games.

In Romo’s defense, he had a thumb injury on his throwing hand. He looked off the whole day so for the Cowboys sake, they’d better hope that he recovers and quick.

3 reasons we should have known Roger Clemens took roids

butt.jpgRoger Clemens has been one of my favorite pitchers for a long time. I was one of the most disappointed people to hear that he was on the Mitchell report but honestly it doesn’t surprise me so much. If you were paying attention over the years, the signs were all there.

1. He can toss ESPN analysts through windows

ESPN guys should have known that he would be on the Mitchell report. Years ago they ran a test to see if he was still able to bring it and he surpassed their expectations by far. We should of known something was up.

Here is some footage from the experiment:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQrQkgcty0I]

We should have known all along.

2. He has a big ass head

Not only do steroids enlarge muscles but few people know that they actually enlarge your head too. When Clemens first came into the majors he looked like a normal guy, not anymore though. His head has increased by at least double. Now he looks like a cherry blowpop but not one of the regular ones though, one of those super blowpops. Heres the proof:

Rookie year:

roger_clemens_rookie.JPG

Currently:

roger.jpg

His head is so much bigger in the second it’s unbelievable.

3. He gives good tips

He tells kids not to use chewing tobacco. That’s good for the kids and very admirable but if you look closely at this video from when Roger was young, he exhibits some very shady behavior:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-w_LJTiREY]

Did you catch that? He does not want you to poison your body but you can poison his, what do you think he meant when he said lets get down to business?

At the end of the day, he and Barry Bonds used. They will be the Poster boys for the steroid era.

Andy Pettitte comes clean

PettitteSo Andy Pettitte admitted today that he did use HGH in 2002. He issued an apology shortly after in a statement through his agent.

In 2002 I was injured. I had heard that human growth hormone could promote faster healing for my elbow. I felt an obligation to get back to my team as soon as possible. For this reason, and only this reason, for two days I tried human growth hormone. Though it was not against baseball rules, I was not comfortable with what I was doing, so I stopped.

This is it — two days out of my life; two days out of my entire career, when I was injured and on the disabled list. I wasn’t looking for an edge. I was looking to heal.

If what I did was an error in judgment on my part, I apologize. I accept responsibility for those two days.

He definitely helped himself with this but I think he probably hurt Roger Clemens. The longer Roger Clemens goes without speaking, the worse it makes him seem. In my eyes, this adds credibility to what was said by the Brian McNamee.
