lt.jpg L.T. proves he's the best

Ladainian Tomlinson took the rushing lead in Monday Nights win over the Broncos. The Chargers also took the game from the Broncos, blowing them out 23-3. The Broncos have fallen hard.

In the beginning of the game it looked like it was gonna be a tough game when John Lynch hit Tomlinson on a 2 yard run in the beginning of the game and knocked his helmet off. Afterwards, he got gully and took the helmet and tossed it 10 yards and got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

"I thought it was going to be that kind of a night, where even the good guys turn to bad guys,"
-Tomlinson

Tomlinson replied by having 107 rushing yards on just 19 carries and 1 touchdown and made Broncos defenders look silly all night. With previous rushing leader Willie Parker injured, Tomlinson passed him for the rushing lead and going into the last week, looks like he is going to finish the season as the rushing leader.

The Chargers looked good tonight but they made too many errors to win a game against a playoff team. They need to clean up some of their mistakes if they expect to beat the Patriots or the Colts in the playoffs.

Pats go to 15-0

No surprises here.  The Patriots beat the Dolphins 28-7 at Gillette Stadium on Sunday ending their longest win streak of the season.  1 win.  While the Patriots became the first team in NFL history to become 15-0 in a season.

With one game left the Patriots have a chance to set more records.  They can potentially become the highest scoring team in NFL history.  Randy Moss and Tom Brady also have a chance to set individual TD marks.

So as we continue to watch cheaters prevail it makes us wonder.  Should we have taken the evil genius Bill Belichick more seriously when he was teaching us how to make peanut butter and jelly.

Bears all over Packers 35-7

Brett Favre had to be brought back down to earth on Sunday. Brian Urlacher certainly did his part to help that happen. Check out Brian Urlacher's 85 yard pick 6.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4s_3jG4CAg]

Wow... He looked exhausted after that.

The offense sort of helped in the blowout. They scored two touchdowns but it was mainly the Bears defense and special teams that won them the game. This sort of reminded us of why they went to the Super Bowl last year. If only they could've played like that all year.

This loss gives the Cowboys home field advantage in the playoffs so we will see how this affects the Packers down the line.

Browns hurt playoff chances

All the Browns had to do to make it to the playoffs was to win. Now they're great year may be for nothing if they don't make the playoffs. They laid an egg against the Bengals who they beat in a shootout earlier this year.

This loss combined with the Titans win means that the if the Titans win next week at Indy they will be in the playoffs. If they lose than the Browns will be in. Regardless of what the Browns do. I almost forgot about the Titans but they may just sneak into the playoffs.

Rivers, Phillips and Whilhelm making fun of Jay Cutler

The Chargers pretty much had their way with the Broncos last night.  During the game Philip Rivers, Shaun Phillips, and Matt Whilhelm talked a lot shit to Jay Cutler.  He deserved it because Cutler was crying the whole game.  Can't really blame him though because the Chargers were all over him.  Check out the Chargers bullies:

So long Scott Skiles, Merry Christmas

scott-skiles.jpgMaybe it was all the talk about potentially getting Kobe. Maybe it was the pressure of following up a fairly productive postseason. Whatever it is, the Chicago Bulls were not able to respond to the pressure.

The disappointing bulls have been moving backwards this year, starting out at 9-16. They've been known to start out slow but for some reason, it doesn't look like they are going to do it this year.

Bulls forward Luol Deng said:

"I felt like something was going to happen,"
"I didn't know whether it was players or coaches. But you could definitely feel there was something. It just didn't seem like we were on the same page."

It's been a rough go of things for the young Bulls. Everyone thought that they would pull off a trade for then-disgruntled Lakers guard Kobe Bryant. They weren't able to pull it off and since then the Lakers have gotten on to a fast start and it's been the opposite for the lowly Bulls.

After all that, they had enough. Scott Skiles had to go.

NBA Wrap: Buzzer beaters night, Andre Iguodala, Dwayne Wade, and Vince Carter come through in the clutch

iguodala.jpgPhilly's new AI comes through

In the first 3 quarters of the 76ers game against the Grizzlies last night, Andre Iguodala scored 6 points. All of the best players step up in the fourth quarter. If thats the case than Andre Iguodala is coming along nicely. Philly's new AI scored 17 points in the last quarter and came through with a big game winning shot.

Iguodala has been called no better than a third best option on a contending team but he showed last night that he should be considered better than that. On top of having 17 points in the last period, he was hit the game winning shot as time expired.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNEHqPbt48c]

Thats a great shot but why did he start getting naked right after?

Crazy Pacers fan must have put a hex on the Wizards

So you don't see this much in basketball. Maybe baseball but not basketball. A crazy fan ran on to the court. After attempting to jump and touch the rim, he then proceeded to juke all of the Pacers security. He looked like Adrian Peterson for a little while.

The Pacers big man Jeff Foster tripped the guy when he tried to pass him allowing the security enough time to grab him. If it wasn't for him they would still be chasing this guy around.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pz9kfoLYKrI]

Despite the madness, the Pacers were still able to come away with a victory over the Wizards at home 93-85.

Dwayne Wade hit bouncing buzzer beater

In another game that featured a buzzer beater, Dwayne Wade came through like he usually does. Hitting a shot that bounced of the front part of the rim and dropped in softly as time expired. Afterwards he did a big man pose in front of the screaming Miami heat fans.

I have no idea what that announcer was saying it sounds funny to hear the excitement of an NBA game in another language.

Around the League

  • Vince Carter buried a three-pointer from the right corner in a 100-95 win over the Golden State Warriors that gave the Nets their first winning streak since taking the last three games of a West Coast swing around Thanksgiving.
  • Chris Paul had 19 points, 15 assists and five steals in only 30 minutes, helping the New Orleans Hornets take a 110-76 victory over the downtrodden Minnesota Timberwolves. Paul had his 14th double-double of the season early in the third quarter, when New Orleans built a 27-point lead and soon after went with a lineup of all reserves to finish it off.
  • Tracy McGrady returned to the Houston lineup and had 20 points and eight assists to lead the Rockets to a 116-98 victory over the Chicago Bulls. Yao Ming had 18 points and eight rebounds but sprained his right thumb in the third quarter. X-rays were negative, and Yao retuned in the fourth quarter.

Leandro Barbosa, starting in place of injured Raja Bell, scored 31 points, Amare Stoudemire added 28 and Grant Hill 25 as Phoenix swept the season series from Toronto for the fourth consecutive season.

NFL SNF Wrap: Romo wasn’t ruined, Owens was

to-injured.jpgTony Romo wasn't distracted by the many faces of Jessica in the crowd. He had one touchdown and one interception in the Cowboys 20-13 victory over the Panthers last night. It was a bittersweet game though with good news and bad news for Cowboys fans.

First the bad news, Terrell Owens was injured during the game with a high ankle sprain. One of the most dreaded injuries in sports. (see video below) He will have an MRI today and we will find out how long we will be without everyones favorite Cowboy.

The good news for the Cowboys was that Tony Romo's injured right thumb didn't seem to affect him so much, especially like it did last week. They were very careful the whole week with Romo, not letting him take any snaps during practice. On the first snap of the game it seemed to be an issue with their backup center as Romo fumbled right when he received it.

Before leaving, Owens did look good on his touchdown catch. He just made the Panthers cornerback Richard Marshall look like high school freshmen when he caught the quick pass to the outside and just pushed Marshall off of him. Check out the video:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7oCko6Yvok]

Later Owens would suffer an injury that could potentially hurt the Cowboys a lot.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=333HCH-0WhU]

Hopefully, for Cowboy nation, Owens won't be out for long. Don't expect to see him play next week against the Redskins in a game which could determine whether or not the Cowboys have home field advantage in the playoffs. T. O. picked a bad time to get hurt.

Roger Clemens defends himself

Roger Clemens has been accused of using performance enhancing drugs per the Mitchell Report and he has issued a video proclaiming his innocence. He has denied all accusations by Brian McNamee, his former trainer.

Here is an excerpt from this video as well as the video itself.

The answer is no, I did not use steroids, human growth hormone, and I’ve never done so. I did not provide Brian McNamee with any drugs to inject into my body. Brian McNamee did not inject steroids or human growth hormone into my body, either when I played in Toronto for the Blue Jays, or the New York Yankees. This Report is simply not true.”

IMO, thats some great acting. That some of his best acting since this commercial from 1987:

Sidney Crosby’s first fight

sid.jpgDon't mess with Sidney Crosby. No, I'm serious don't mess with Sidney Crosby... Stop laughing! Just ask Andrew Ference. In the Penguins game against the Pen's the other night Ference tried to fuck with our man Sid the Kid but he wasn't having it.

Sidney Crosby got into his first fight of his career and probably his last but if it was then it wasn't too bad of a showing. He got Ference pretty bloody. Not to mention that he also had 3 points in the game. I'd say it was a nice way of getting out of his mini slump.

Here is the video and again remember, don't mess with pretty boy Sid. Ok you can start laughing again... :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Marian Gaborik’s 5 goals

Ok so I know this is from a couple nights ago but it still worth mentioning. Marion Gaborik is a beast?! I had no idea. I had never heard of him before the other night but now everyone will know who he is. Two nights ago he scored 5 goals in one game against the Rangers. Rough night for the Rangers.

This was the first time one player had 5 goals in a game since 1996. Check it out

Ruin Romo tonight

jess_ruin_romo.jpgIn Dallas's game against the Panthers tonight, you will see a lot of Cowboys haters wearing Jessica Simpson masks. Jessica Simpson was in the stand during last weeks sorry game against the Eagles. Romo had his worst game of his career.

RuinRomo.com made cutouts of Jessica Simpson to try and distract Tony Romo in his game tonight against the Panthers. We will see how that works out for them tonight. If you can even see the game that is

Stan Van Gundy is upset with his team

We all love it when Coaches explode during press conferences.  This was hardly an explosion but it definitely worth noting that Stan Van Gundy is not happy with the performance of his Orlando Magic squad last night against Jazz.  Check out his post game press conference.
