10 Hemp Products I Would Try

Hemp

Hemp is an often overlooked but essential part of the legalization argument. Hemp is a soft, durable fiber that is cultivated from marijuana plants. It is not going to get you high if you smoke hemp though. It is far more useful than just that. If can be used for fabric, paper, various oils, rope, food. The list can go on and on. It would help us to use less of our other natural resources such as cotton or tree.

Now admittedly, I have never tried any hemp products, mainly because in most parts of the United States, producing hemp is not legal. That is another ridiculous consequence of the failed drug war. Either way, if you are buying Christmas presents or just to to kiss up to me, be sure to buy me some of the hemp products on this list. This isn't even half of all of the products available.

Paper

It was good enough for them to write the Declaration Of Independence on. It can save lots of trees and works just as well as regular paper.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp seed oil has too many uses to list. I will do it anyway though. You can use it for body oil for soaps, lotions, lip balm, shampoos, used with good paints and varnishes, and is an excellent chemical precursor to other industrial compounds.

Pretzels

Hemp Pretzels or "Hempzels" are supposed to be pretty good. I would try them with a topping for some cannabutter.

Original

Lip Balm

This lip balm is SPF 18, made with hemp seed oil and avocado oil, and is supposed to be extremely soothing. I never liked Carmex much anyway.

Soap

The soap is one of the many products made through the oil. Hemp oil has a high concentration of essential linoleic fatty acids that are known to repair and replenish skin lipids the brick and mortar that support the cell wall structure. Makes awesome soap.

Clothes

This sweater is hideous but in general, hemp makes pretty good clothes. I have heard mixed reviews though. Some people say it is uncomfortable as clothes, some people love it. If you have any experience with the clothes, let me know about it in the comments.

HempShake

This is a replacement protein shake that is probably healthier for you than a regular one you would buy at GNC. I don't know that for sure though so don't quote me. I'd still give it a swig.

Alps Snacks

Toss that trail mix. Get this instead.

Hemp close is nice. It all depends on how its made. I have a t-shirt that is 100% hemp its a little heavier but other then that its just as comfortable.

Oh man, if you've never tried any of those hemp food products, you're in for a ride.

Protip: They all taste utterly disgusting, except for the trail mix. Hemp seeds are palatable, but that Nutiva HempShake is double extra disgusting. And considering how hemp seed oil tastes, I can only imagine how awful the salad dressings taste. Hemp is good for a lot of things, but food in any form is not one of them.

About the soap: You said "Hemp oil has a high concentration of essential linoleic fatty acids that are known to repair and replenish skin lipids the brick and mortar that support the cell wall structure."

Human cells don't have cell walls. In fact, no animals cells have cell walls.
    But whatever.

Ive had the hemp based lip balm, and it worked so much better than any other that ive ever used that I almost cried when it ran out. It wasnt greasy or foul tasting like some chapsticks today are.and it made my lips nice and soft.
